I made the bold move from a cushy corporate job to the freedom of running my own business three years ago. Now, as a proud owner of a CPA firm, I’m living the dream—and yes, I sometimes work in my PJs. With work experience in blue chip companies and a badge in business valuation from the AICPA, I’ve got the receipts to back it up. But honestly, I don’t flex my credentials much—there are way more interesting things to vibe about, like catching the latest college football game or traveling around the world with my kids.

Balancing work and life is a whole mood, especially when you’ve got teenagers in the mix. Client meetings might keep me busy, but I always find time to do the parent thing—skills on skills, am I right? My kids and I have hit up all seven continents, because why not complete the set? Pro tip: promise your kids they can hold a penguin or race a kangaroo, and watch the magic happen.

I split my time between my home office and my regular spot at Memorial and Shepherd, because flexibility is key. The commute is short, but the hustle is real. Still, setting my own hours and building something from scratch? Major W. And just so you know—I’m all about good vibes only. Life’s too short to be around anything but positivity and respect. In the evenings, you can usually find me running around Memorial Park or Allen Parkway with my wife—because who doesn’t love a good run to clear the mind?

In this new chapter, the coffee is stronger, the meetings are fewer, and the rewards are way beyond just financial success. I’m out here proving that you really can have it all—career, family, and maybe even some extra time for that second cup of coffee.
